A facility built for records, not a warehouse repurposed for them

250,000 square feet, purpose-built, at a secured location outside the Kathmandu Valley.

Exterior elevation. Cropped by policy: no terrain, no settlement, no landmark.

Why we do not publish the address

A records facility that advertises its own coordinates has given away its first line of defence. The location is disclosed to contracted clients under agreement, and site visits are arranged individually for shortlisted organisations.

If you are evaluating us, you will see it. Before that, nobody needs to.

Siting
Outside active floodplains
Confirmed by risk assessment before acquisition.
Outside landslide-prone zones
Ground conditions independently assessed.
Multiple independent access routes
Retrieval continues if one route is closed.

Built to the codes used for hospitals and high-rises

Five separate international and Nepali engineering standards govern the structure. Full documentation is available on request.

Seismic and wind

NBC 105:2020Nepal's seismic design code. The facility is engineered for Earthquake Zone V forces, the most severe classification in the country.
47 m/sWind loading equivalent to a severe storm, sustained.

Structure

IS 875:1987Design loads. Governs how much weight the structure carries, including dense racking under full load.
AISC 360-10Structural steel specification, American Institute of Steel Construction.
MBMA 2012Metal building systems standard.
IBC 2012International Building Code.

Fire

NFPA and NBCFire mitigation compliant with both US National Fire Protection Association guidelines and the National Building Code.
VESDAAspirating smoke detection. Samples the air continuously and detects combustion before smoke is visible to a person in the room.
HydrantsCoverage throughout the building, with automated testing cycles on all suppression and alarm systems.

Environment

ClimateTemperature and humidity controlled vaults. Paper degrades in swings, not just in extremes.
Pest controlRoutine, documented, on a scheduled cycle with records retained.

What we will tell you, and what we won't
